So, let's see if I've got this straight... Merovia is analogous to France, and some other country whose name I don't know at the moment is analogous to Britain. MU is somewhat west/inland, and not very far north or south. My early American history is crap, so what area would this be akin to? Ketucky? West Virginia?
I doubt it; if we were playing analogues like that, then Merovia would be playing a big part in the Revolution, as the French had a huge effect on the American Revolutionary War. Maybe they are more like the Spanish, Portuguese or Dutch: all of those had basically given up on North America by the time of the American Revolution (the Dutch basically sold their share of North America to the English, and the Spanish and Portuguese were more interested in the South Americas, which were easier for them to reach via the trade winds).
You could be right. Mack mentions something about Merovian ports to the south, which could be analogous to New Orleans, which was under Spanish control during the war.
It looked like the fighter was holding the same weapon in both pictures, but one was captioned Quarter-Staff Grip and * Half-Staff Grip.
Missing something in there about the point where I inserted the asterisk. I'm guessing the words "the other"?
They were the things that the enchanted staff had been doing pretty much on its own, and they weren’t that hard to figure out if you just held a staff out in front of * in the half grip while someone swung something at you.
Think we're missing the word "you" after "in front of".
Maybe I was half-assing things a bit again by putting the staff down after maybe fifteen or twenty minutes of hefting it and moving it around, but I didn’t think I was going to become a master stickfighter in * room by myself.
Missing at least one word in front of "room" there. Not quite sure what though.
One was the fact that the spell was continually changing directions… it only took a small adjustment to twist it off to the side or make a small adjustment.
Technically there's no typo here, but you've used "small adjustment" twice in the same sentence and it reads a little oddly that way.
