More Tales of MU Chapter 82: Violet's Head Trip

Story link.

Author's Notes:

I think Pala needs more appearances. She doesn't fit in well with the original recipe cast (but of course, she doesn't fit in well anywhere and that's the fun, so we'll see how she does here.

"when I yelled at her to let him she started"

...let him go, surely.

“If Iason’s half as good as he says he is, he’s probably twice as good as he thinks he is.”

And this is why I love Marlot so much.

Seconded. Insight and a wonderful way with words.

I wonder how "big" Violet would think Iason is?

“If Iason’s half as good as he says he is, he’s probably twice as good as he thinks he is.”

Well no, Iason has not exactly shown a lack of confidence in himself. Quite the reverse. Maybe "twice as good as I think he is."

Our head girl seems to have a problem here. She had best look into some training about how to stay out of some heads.

No, that's what Marlot's spotted, I think. He projects a lot of confidence, but that doesn't mean he feels it. Violet would know - or would she?

Well we knew what happens when a telepath pokes in a demonic mind, now we know what happens when they go poking in a storm-giant's mind. >XD

I'm confused. At the end of the last story it stated....

I didn’t tell any of the girls what had happened. Violet probably picked up on some of it, and I would tell Marlot eventually, but I wanted to talk to Iason about it first. The elves really were a world apart from humanity. He would have the perspective to understand it without a lot of shock and horror.

And at the beginning of this one, he's clearly looking for the girls...

Ack, I thought I'd revised that before posting. I'm going to change it now so it reflects his decision not to tell them and his worry that Violet will pick up on it. :P Thanks for catching.

Wow, did no one catch the Temple of Elemental Evil joke? Love it when you slip in little bits like that AE. I remember that quest from way back when, destroying all my players with it. Good times, good times.

OMG this chapter totally made me giggle. I love love LOVE the way V's telepathy had her view Pala the way Pala views herself - tiny - instead of the way everyone else views her.

She's usually not *that* susceptible to being dragged into one person's mind, so I'm guessing either Pala's mind is a vaccuum, quite literally, and sucked her in, or that Violet just did it intentionally to get high.

Also the Marlot quip at the end was awesome. I admit, at first, I couldn't stand Marlot, but now I think she's one of the best parts of MoMu. The insight and wit in her one liners almost seemes to me to be Alexandra talking, very subtly breaking the fourth wall to add a quick mocking jab at her obviously-not-flawless characters.

I dunno why, but I love MoMu so much more than regular Mu right now. Probably just because of the characters. MoMu has much, much better characters :D
