She pointed her thumb at my door. “Do you need anything from our room?”
Not sure about this one. Technically that isn't Amaranth's room so it should be "your" rather than "our", but then Amy does spend a fair share of her time there so maybe she kind of thinks of it as theirs. Interesting though that Mack wouldn't notice that slip if Amaranth actually said that.
I hoped I wouldn’t have to, though. If I could make her happy, for however long we had, I’d be happy, too.
Both sentences end with a comma followed by one more word. In both cases that last comma is unnecessary and makes the sentence read a little awkwardly.
Why do I have a sinking feeling the surprise Amaranth wants to present to Mackenzie are 'Writ of Ownership' papers, officially declaring Mack a genuine Slave-slave owned by Amaranth?
That seems a bit beyond the stuff they'd have at the clothing store, though, and I'd be surprised if pet adoption papers were valid for humanoids (especially ones not actually sold at the store in question). Though on the other hand Mack is legally a "fierce creature"... My money's still on a collar, though possibly enchanted with some sort of obedience compulsion.
I got the impression that the 'surprise' was something independent of what could be purchased on this outing, and that the outing itself was merely to 'set the mood' for the surprise later.
Though a collar with obedience-compulsion enchantments doesn't sound much better.
Maybe not horse and rider… because seriously, even ignoring Amaranth’s particular forbidden fetish the imagery there kind of went beyond “willfully obedient submissive” and into much iffier territory…
Hah. Irony, in light of Jamie's relationship with Iason, and the fact that Mack considers herself a submissive, while Jamie doesn't consider himself one.
I am also on board with the collar idea. As well as the idea that Mackenzie will probably forget to buy a staff.
Hey, I just realized that she doesn't need to buy an enchanted staff. It is going to be mocked anyway and she doesn't need to fulfill the magic weapon requirement because of her exemption. Except, there is a possibility that a non-enchanted weapon, once mocked, would be wholly ineffective against some of the enchanted weapons other people have.
Yes, not to mention the fact that her own superhuman strength might break an ordinary stick.
The one she used last time seemed pretty good.
I can't wrap my mind around thinking "I have this class tomorrow" and not "what do I need to do for this class tomorrow?" I'm currently in college, and have a hard time keeping it together, but at least I know what's coming up immediately.

A big treat to Mackenzie
(No snickering please)
Giving free rein for
Animal dress up fun times
Might lead to whorse play
Mack's got a mirror
So Amaranth wants to give
Her collar ID
