Hmm, I'm wondering if it would be within the rules for Iason to ride stag!Jamie during the match. Since they're missing Belinda, do they get to substitute someone or are her points considered forfeit?
I'm really loving the skirmish match so far! I wish real sports were this awesome.
MU would pretty have to turn things around in the overnight
Seems to be missing a "much" after "pretty".
Even for a stealthy solo seeker like Iason, there was no little benefit to holding him back;
The phrase "no little benefit" is pretty cool if you mean there's a lot of benefit, but in this case I don't think that's what was meant. I think the "no" needs to go.
Poor Pala, I think the reason nobody back home would fight her is not because they thought they'd get 'thumped' but rather because they'd feel bad stomping someone half their size.
I suspect it is that they'd get "thumped" but not by her. I suspect that there was some sort of standing order that meant if you hurt Pala (accidentally or otherwise) you pay for it.
I'm enjoying these chapters, but for some reason I'm finding it just about impossible to visualize anything but the individual confrontations - I can't "see" what the overall action looks like.
Oooh, thanks for the catch... not only did I not mark it done, I never Twittered it and I never posted the Void Dogs! God, I was tired last night. :P Slept good, though.
The team probably does have reserve players, but substitution might not be permitted close to the game.
So that's where ghouls come from. Assuming that Marlot isn't having another joke.
Since we already know how the match is going to turn out, the big question now is: who has called Jamie to reception? They've used the elven form of his first name, so it should be an elfblood. But who?
- "There you are, Iamie. Get your clothes off, I need you on the field."

- "You will regret what you did to my sister, Alli. Not that I'm making this personal, by the way, it's just that I prefer to take my time with my prey."
---
- "Human! I, Philephebos, will exact vengeance... uh ...Alli didn't mention that you had a bracelet... or your hips... or your cheekbones... All right, change of plan. Human! Inform your rider that I, Philephebos, will challenge him to a contest of arms for his mount!"

Skirmish hero sure knows how
To kick assassin
More than woods are toast
If MU mages don't buff
The tragic Dragons
Eve Goldapple and
Belinda aren't the only
MU team no-shows
